SIMTOS2012 Rules Governing Exhibits

Article 1)
DEFINITIONS
  • In these terms and conditions for exhibiting, the term "Exhibitor" shall include all employees, partnership, firm or individual to whom space has been allocated for the purpose of exhibiting. The term "Exhibition" shall mean "Seoul International Manufacturing Technology Show 2012", including "SIMTOS2012". The term "Organizer" shall mean "Korea Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (KOMMA)."
Article 2)
ALLOCATION OF
EXHIBIT SPACE
  • Exhibitors' space will be allocated in the order of agreement of pavilion allocation, application date, the times of past participation(1998~2010), the date of balance payment, and the date of deposit payment in the rational manner the Organizer deems fit.
Article 3)
DEFINITIONS OF
PARTICIPATION FEES,
DEPOSIT, AND
BALANCE-PAYMENT
  • The term "Participation fees" means the cost of the booth rent and optional shell stand including utility services (electricity, telephone, water & drainage, compressed air etc.). "Deposit" is 40% of booth rental fees. "Balance payment" means the amount deducted deposit (60% of booth rental fees)

APPLICATION AND
PAYMENT POLICY
  • Exhibitors should remit a deposit within 14 days after completing application on the web site, www.simtos.org. The contract and application shall be completed and be put into effect upon the Exhibitor's payment of deposit (40% of booth rental fees). The balance of booth rental fees should be paid by not later than January 14th, 2012. The balance of total participation fees should be paid by March 31, 2012.

Article 5)
DELIVERY AND
REMOVAL
  • The delivery and removal of the exhibits and booths must be completed by the appointed time by the Organizer. Exhibitors should indemnify the Organizer against any loss, which may be caused by delay or damage to the Exhibition Hall.
Article 6)
INSURANCE, SECURITY
AND SAFETY
  • Exhibitors are required to subscribe to all risks insurance policy on all equipment and products during the fair period as well as the delivery/removal periods. The Organizer shall exercise its due care for the management, maintenance, protection and preservation of the entire exhibition hall and exhibits contained therein and thereby endeavor to achieve smooth operation of the fair. Exhibitors shall be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to any articles belonging to the Exhibitor.
Article 7)
RESTRICTION ON
EXHIBIT
  • Exhibitors are bound to exhibit the announced products and the Organizer reserves the right to restrict exhibits which may detract from the general character of the Exhibition. It is agreed that the sole purpose for contracting exhibit space is to display and/or demonstrate equipment, supplies and/or services. Cash sales within the confines of the exhibit space are prohibited.
Article 8)
BREACH OF CONTRACT
AND WITHDRAWAL
BY EXHIBITOR
  • In the event that the Exhibitor refuses to use all or part of the space allocated or the Exhibitor defaults on the payment, the Organizer shall have the right to terminate the contract forthwith. In addition, the stand charges shall not be refunded.
Article 9)
CANCELLATION AND
PENALTY ON
THE REDUCTION OF
TOTAL SIZE
OF THE BOOTHS
  • Space payment is non-refundable. In the event that Exhibitor fails to use all or part of any space contracted for, the following penalty will be put upon the Exhibitor to be paid within 15 days of cancellation to the Organizer. Participation fees already paid shall be taken for the penalty. Should that amount not be sufficient, the difference must be paid and any excess amount shall be returned.

Article 10)
CHANGES
  • The Organizer reserves the right to change the venue and duration of the Exhibition if exceptional circumstances demand such changes. In the event of a change of venue and/or date, or cancellation of the Exhibition, the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to any claim for compensation in connection with the booking for participation.
Article 11)
SUPPLEMENTARY
  • If necessary, the Organizer shall have the right to issue supplementary regulations in addition to those in the Rules Governing All Exhibits - SIMTOS2012. Those regulations and instructions shall be binding on the Exhibitors. The Exhibitor shall observe the KINTEX Rules and Regulations.
Article 12)
ARBITRATION
OF DISPUTES
  • Any dispute, difference or question arising hereafter between the Organizer and the Exhibitor concerning the true construction of these Rules Governing All Exhibits or the rights and liabilities of the parties thereto shall be settled in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. The verdict of the above arbitration shall be final and binding upon both.
